Cactus Jalopy Cruise-In Hot Rod Show
Osoyoos, B.C.

You will note that David is sporting the latest "Blue Healers" attire (o.k., thanks photoshop!), at the Cactus Jalopy Cruise-In Hot Rod Show in Osoyoos, B.C.. We would like to thank the club, Pam & Fred Farinha.

Apparently the band was far too busy taking pictures of the cars that were in great abundance to catch of our act! Just close your eyes and imagine the band playing to a crowd that overlooked the picture-perfect valley of Osoyoos.

Just had to include this picture of a chevy, as one of us had turned a bolt or two on an identical one in a previous life. Ain't she a beaut?!

Private Birthday Party for "Poppy"
West Kelowna, B.C.
|
|
Now if you are going to play a private birthday party, this is the type of location that you will want: swimming pool, buffet tables, and very large shade trees for the band!

The Blue Healers pride themselves on the fact that we can play for a wide variety of audiences and age groups! To quote Benajamin George "Remember, Billy, you are not a musician, you are an entertainer!" So, folks....let us entertain and not merely provide background music!

Just in case anyone still is questioning hiring the band for their Birthday, Wedding, or Party, these are the faces of the VERY satisfied clients & now FRIENDS!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPY, we had an excellent time as well!

Bill hits a contemplative moment during one of his ballands. Obviously, present this night was Kim Unsworth, who took such a beautiful photograph.

We're uncertain whether Pat was caught off-guard, or if that is his "Eye of the Tiger" and is about to pounce!

Ok, let us just be honest and call this an exposition of Kim Unsworth Photography, featuring the Blue Healers!

One of our fans, Kim Unsworth was present this night and captured a shot of April, another Blue Healers fan. Obviously, the talent is just not on the stage!

With the ambient light glowing on Dave as he plays the bass guitar, the evening became magical. (Editor's note: Ok, I promise, I will stop with the language!)

Bill likes to think that a picture with Ashley (from the Longhorn Pub), has increased his street-cred. We just have to remind him that she would make even a homeless man in the back streets of Vancouver look good!

The event started by having James cover his drums in the Ms. Pacman-style. The evening only became more unusual as we went along....

We know that it may be hard for some of you to believe, but here is Bill "Grandstanding" the crowd while singing "Some Kind of Wonderful!" If you have not seen this in real life, it is something to behold...(but not for very long, as the GOTH look of his make-up is normal!)

We had to post this picture for 2 reasons:
1. To prove there was a crowd when while we were playing; and
2. There were no appropriate pictures of David, so I had to paste him and his toga into something, lest he cry!

Here he is ladies and gentleman, the consummate bass guitar player and anchor of the Rhythm section, MISTER DAVID SOPEL. We occasionally have to remind him that he can look up as the strings don't change position over time...

T., server at the Creekside says, "Simply the best band we have ever had in here!"

We have never claimed to have the most sane or rationale audiences that attend our performances, but we can assure you of one thing....THEY ARE LIVELY and INTERACTIVE!!!
Kelowna, B.C.

While it may not be noticeable in this picture, we can assure you that James Marshall Ross is playing the drums behind David. JMR kept saying all evening that no one better get the bright idea of playing darts!

Once again we have the boys on a "Road Trip", but this time playing in Penticton, B.C.. It was great to have such a warm reception and a "hot crowd", who lived by the saying of Mark Twain: "Dance like no one is watching."
Penticton, B.C.

James Marshall Ross (a.k.a. JMR), rarely notices that he is being captured on celluloid (yes, we were not born in the 1990's). Much like he does not notice that he is playing without shoes!
Penticton, B.C.

If Bill is standing, then he must be ending a set or stretching his long legs! Either way, the crowd was moving, singing, and having a great time.
Penticton, B.C.

We couldn't help to put another picture of JMR in the mix, as the girls seem to like him for some unknown reason?! As well, this is the only shot where our rather expensive "Blue Healer" banner is caught in the background! Live it, Dig it, Be it!
Penticton, B.C.
|
While Bill was playing the keyboard with his right hand, his left hand was very busy....taking pictures of some of the people who were moving and shaking that night. No, not induced by substance but by the groove of the band!

A special thanks goes out to "J&S" who came down from the "Central Okanagan" to see the Blue Healers, as they heard from friends the evening before that the Blue Healers were very hot, and should not be missed! And we were!

James, Bill & David sharing a moment before they take to the stage. The crowd didn't know what to expect, and were they ever surprised with the great show they got!

Mike and Dave look on with awe, as Bill takes a solo and makes it his own! Or, they sit and wonder when his solo will ever end? Either way, the crowd had a great time and so did the band!
Vernon, B.C.

Every so often the Blue Healers allow James to escape from the background and let loose on the vocals. Here is JMR belting out "China Grove", by the Doobie Brothers!

Dave's Sports Bar

Dave's Sports Bar in Kelowna, B.C., is where the band made their "World" Debut. Playing for a local children's charity, they helped double the amount of money raised in the previous hour!

David "Gilligan" Sopel, keeping the band alive while playing on the "Bluff". There is nothing like a summer day at a music festival!

a.k.a. The people that love the Blue Healers

What would be if we were not a Rock Band getting cool shots with hot chix? Okay, okay, she is also Amy from Otto's Pub in Penticton. She treated us well, shouted out the songs, and had a great time!
Penticton, B.C.

Keeping on the same track, we had to get a picture with another hot chick, Christine! I don't know how we keep getting so lucky with the women (no, don't read too much into that), but life is great as a Rock Sup-a-Stah..

Even people who speed along the interior highways of B.C. like the Blue Healers!

Women in cheetah prints LOVE the Blue Healers! Let alone, Bill loves all women in Cheetah prints (ok, women generally!)
